Are There Any Side Effects Of Titanium Rod Used For Fractures?

I had surgery done about two weeks ago to have a titanium rod placed in my leg because of a severe fracture to multiple breaks of the tibia bone and a break to my fibula bone. I was wondering what would be the side effects if there is any? Could I have the rods and screws removed later on? Upon healing completely would I be able to walk/run/jog/exercise normally like before?

thank you for the question.Usually all bone implants material are in use after determining
the biochemical properties as well as physical properties, elasticity, strength to take load etc.Titanium is light and body friendly and is used in bone and joint implants commonly.
Once your bone union has consolidatedsufficiently, your surgeon shall determine its removal. On average 2-3 years after sound union of fracture.
After healing and physiotherapy the muscles shall regain potential for load, at first this has to be gradual and after a couple of months your doctor may permit more strenuous workout
