Are There Any Side Effects Of Taking Augmentin For Flu?

hi i have an 11 month old daughter who came down with the flu. because of her constant cough i decided to take her to the doctor who recommended predcort ds. now she wines constantly and has started having jelly like stool not watery but not firm either 3 times today already. she is also not eating much. can you tell me what the side effects of this medicine please. she s also on augmentin can you also tell me side effects of this as well.

Yes you are write. Augmentin is amoxycillin with clavulanic acid can frequently cause gastric troubles like increase frequency, watery stools, gastritis etc. So stop augmenyin and start ORS and zinc. You are also giving steroids. It is not a good drug for long time use.
