Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have used Streptoquin on occasion when traveling in the mid East (Egypt in particular) and it has saved me on a number of occasions. I happened to come across a pack of them in my desk here at work and Googled the name to see what may be reported about this miracle drug. One of the search suggestions was Streptoquin side effects. So I selected it and was led here. Are there any side effects that I should be aware of?
Streptoquin is a drug used for treating intestinal / stomach infections. It is a combination drug which aim to decrease your stomach and intestinal movements and an antibiotic. I would suggest you not take this drug without a doctors supervision. The fact that it has an antibiotic means it needs to be taken as a course over a particular time. You may develop resistance in the future.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Pranav Balakrishnan, General & Family Physician
