Are There Any Contraindications Of Zithromax Where There Are Fractures As Well?

I have read in the past that certain antibiotics including Zithromax can slow osteoblast activity in bone repair. My daughter is on long term Zithromax for lyme disease and recently broke her ankle and a lumbar vertebrae. Do you know of any contraindications for Zithromax when there are also fractures?

Hi,
Azithromycin (zithromax) is a safe drug. it is important to continue using it for lymes disease.
The possibility of osteoblastic delay is proposed in case reports but the chances are very less and ignorable, given the fact that is is one of the few options for lymes, a disease that has to be tackled tough.
There is no contraindication of zithro when somebody has fractures.
all the bset.
