Are Swollen Breasts, Bloated Stomach And Discomfort Suggestive Of Pregnancy?

I took norethisterone during a recent holiday and whilst we are not particularly trying to conceive we were still and have had since unprotected sex. The holiday was early December and stopped taking pills around 13th. Had a couple of days bleeding since but have bigger boons bigger tummy and feel a bit sick. Periods are usually irregular - projected date in log is still not for a week but is it possible I could be pregnant?

Hello,

I can understand your concern. Unprotected sex can always have a possibility of conceiving. If you want to be sure about pregnancy, I would advise you to take a home pregnancy test.

You have to purchase the test kit (Preganews etc). It is available over the counter in all super and medical stores. You have to urinate on the indicator area of the test stick and wait for (+) or (-) sign to appear, which indicates positive or negative pregnancy test, respectively. The instructions are also given on the pack about the use of the test kit.

If the test comes negative and you do not periods in 10 days after the projected date, you should visit a gynecologist for physical examination and further investigations.
