Are Sweating, Appetite Loss, Headaches And Abnormal Blood Work Side Effects Of Taking Celebrex?

I have been on Celebrex for approximately 2 years. I began having crazy symptoms within the last 6 months: increased sweating, loss of appetite, headaches, and finally abnormal blood work results for kidney function tested this week. I’m assuming I should’ve been monitored for kidney function sooner. Do you think these symptoms can all be related ro the Celebrex use?

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

Celebrex (Celecoxib), nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) can cause interstitial nephritis on prolonged use. Your present symptoms and abnormal renal function tests are explained by chronic renal insufficiency or chronic kidney disease (NSAID induced).

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Tushar Kanti Biswas,
