Hello. Thank you for writing to us at healthcaremagic

Throat herpes is most commonly acquired by direct/intimate contact with infected secretions e.g during kissing and exchange of saliva and receptive oral sex with an infected partner.
Moreover the risk of transmission is more during an active episode of herpes.
A herpetic whitlow, which involves the finger with herpetic lesions, is unlikely to infect the throat because there would be no direct/ intimate contact between the infected finger and your throat, even more so, because the finger bearing herpetic lesions was protected with a bandaid.
Your symptoms are most likely due to an unrelated cause e.g a viral upper respiratory infection Or flu and I suggest you to contact a physician for the same

Regards
