Are Sore Throat And Swollen Tonsils Symptoms Of Throat Cancer?

I have had a sore throat for 4 months now. I have gargled with salt water, vinegar, baking soda, and it does not get better. Now my tongue is supersensitive, there are white spots in the back of my throat, my lips burn, my tonsils are swollen, it feels like I have something scratching the back of my throat all the time. What test can i take to see if i have throat or mouth cancer?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms are typical of migraine. Drugs like triptans will be effective. Avoid sleep deprivation and caffeine as they will worsen the symptoms. Consult a neurologist and he will direct you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
