Are Sore Throat And Bumps On Cheeks A Cause For Concern?
Hi, I have had a sore throat for a little over 48 hours now. It feels like I have something stuck in my throat and it is uncomfortable to swallow. I also noticed tiny red bumps on the inside of both cheeks. These red bumps form a straight line from the back of my cheek to where my mouth opens and is also right where the top and bottom teeth meet. Should I be worried?
As an ENT specialist, I suspect tonsillopharyngitis, and it is the most common cause of a sore throat. I would recommend you to visit your doctor and need to start on antibiotics and warm saline gargles.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
