Are Red Burns On Face A Side Effect Of Medication For URI?
I had two shots yesterday for an upper respiratory infection....one was an antibiotic, the other a steroid. I am also taking a zpac...today my face is getting progressively red..burns...and is tender to the touch like that of a sunburn......trouble or just a side effect??
Thanks for your question on HCM. I can understand your situation and problem. There are few possibilities in your case. 1. Injectable antibiotics like cephalosporin group can cause skin lesion. 2. Injectable steroid can also cause skin side effect. 3. Viral upper respiratory tract infection can itself cause skin lesions. So better to consult dermatologist and first diagnose the cause ,whether it is due to drugs or due to other etiology and then start appropriate treatment.
