hello. positive ANA along with rashes over arms can be seen in both lupus as well as dermatomyositis.
lupus presents with rashes, joint pains and generalised weakness.
whereas dermatomyositis presents with severe weakness of shoulder and pelvic muscles.
do you have any such symptoms.??
to differentiate these two and make a confirmatory diagnosis you can get an ANA profile done. it's a blood test easily available in most labs.
follow up with the report
thanks.
