Are Pistachios And Dates Advisable For Severe Constipation And High Triglycerides?

My father is 58 years old and has been suffering from constipation, high triglycerides (255), high HDL Cholesterol (33) for the last 2 years. At present he starts taking Pistachios, Dates and coconut water to eat empty stomach. It is O.K. sir. Please solution.

High HDL is a good thing, it would actually be better if this value was a little higher.

The high triglycerides is a problem. This can be decreased by reducing his carbohydrate intake- carbohydrates have been found to influence triglyceride levels.

The use of at least 8 glasses of water daily plus at 5 servings of fruit and vegetables, whole grain foods should be used.
He can use a fiber supplement to get the daily requirement of fiber eg metamucil, benefiber
