Are Physiological Hypersomnia And Depression Two Different Illnesses?
My husband was just diagnosed with physiological hypersomnia and give nuvigil to help. He is also diagnosed with clinical depression. Does one have to do with the other or are they separate illnesses? How will nuvigil interact with his current meds of Prozac and wellbutrin?

Atypical depression has symptoms of hypersomnia and increased appetite.
Physiological hypersomina indicates that there is no medical illness leading to hypersomnia.
Nuvigil is a stimulant which can help in hypersomnia as well as antidepressant effects.
It has no potentially serious interactions with wellbutrin and prozac.
