Are Persistent Fever, Green Mucus And Sleep Jerks In A Toddler A Concern?

My 16 month has had a fever since 11 am yesterday. She has been sleepy all day. No other sumptoms other than I just noticed some dried green boogies under her nostrils. Been noticing she has been jerking a lot more when she is close to or sleeping like she is being startled. Should I take her to doc asap?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Fever since 11days indicate an underlying infection. and it should be treated with appropriate drugs.

Green mucus specifically indicate mostly gram negative bacterial or some viral infection. So you should consult paediatrician nearby asap.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Nirav Nimavat, General & Family Physician
