Are Pcos & Overactive Thyroid Connected?

Hi ,
I am new to this forum, I Just found out yesterday from my scan that I have minor pcos but at the same time I have overactive thyroid too which was Diagnosed 15 Month before. I am taking 20 mg thyocab daily in night and my T3>98,T4>7.1 & TSH>0.02 currently.I'm wondering are these two conditions linked? Is anyone else going through this?

Hi welcome to HCM...

As such hyperthyroid and PCOS not interlinked to each other ....

But both this disorders are. ...
-Endocrine disorder
-And related to infertility

Hyperthyroid can lead abortion during pregnancy also ..
So TSH should be maintained within normal limit with adjusting dosage of drug if needed ...
PCOS can lead diabetis, hirsuitism and infertility ...
If needed you might given clomiphene or other antiandrogenic drug and metformin ...

Take care

Advise : Endocrinologist consultation for discussion of your case and examination...
