Are Pain In The Upper Back And Shortness Of Breath Symptoms Of Bronchitis?

Hello. I went to the dr last week and she said I have bronchitis. She said she was able to tell I had inflammation on the upper left side of my back. I was on the zpac for 5 days but I am still experiencing shortness of breath but no cough and no congestion. Just have mild pain in my upper back and the shortness of breath. Is this still bronchitis??

Hello,

Your symptoms could be related to local inflammation. For this reason, I recommend taking Naproxen or ibuprofen. If your symptoms persist, I would recommend performing pulmonary function tests and inflammation tests (complete blood count, PCR, ESR).

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
