Are Pain And Stiffness In The Neck Symptoms Of A Muscle Strain?
I strained my muscle in my left shoulder back area around 2 months ago . I still have issues with it . When it spasms up I have limited mobility in my neck (can t turn all the way to the left) and the inner lining of my left arm gets very sensitive and I can t even lift anything with it. The pain just radiates up my neck , in the shoulder area and down my aim. Is this more than a muscle strain ?

This is possibly a slipped disc at the level of the neck causing spasms, pain and hyperesthesia. The diagnosis can be established by MRI of the neck. Treatment is generally painkiller, muscle relaxants and neck exercises.
