Are Pain And Burning Sensation Below The Rib Cage Related To Gallstones?

I have pain and burning on left side below my rib cage around my stomach area. It is in one place all the time and often times feels likes its burning as well as hurting. I have been diagnosed with gallstones. I don t know if they are related?I also have had a very sore and swollen throat for a month.

I understand your concern and I will be glad to answer it for you.

Left side upper abdominal pain is related to Gastritis rather than Gall stones. Gastritis can cause sorethroat due to reflux sometimes.

Gall stones pain restricts mostly to right side, rarely it is referred to left side.

However, to ruleout the cause of left side pain I advise you to get an ECG and Upper GI Endoscopy done.
