Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Are Nervousness, Shivering And Depressions Signs Of Graves Disease?
I have Graves disease & had an ablasion. Around three years ago. I have been taking a thyroid medicine & had it pretty much under control for about a year or so lately I have been experiencing some of the same side effects that I did before I was diagnosed. Nervousness, achingness, shakiness feelings of depression can this still be symptoms of my Graves disease. Before I was diagnosed my levels were really bad, I thought I was going crazy & was in tears a lot I am having these same feelings again & had to come home from work. All I want to do is lie down right now
I have gone through your history and I am of the opinion that you seem to be taking larger dose of thyroid medicine resulting in its side effects. I advise you to consult your treating doctor for further evaluation and to check the levels of thyroid hormones and to reduce the dose accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
