Are Negative Pregnancy Test Results Normal During IVF Treatment Process?

Hi, i am 1 week into my wait post embryo transfer. I am taking crinone 8% twice daily and prognove 2mg three times a day. I know i shouldn t have done a home pregnancy test but i did and it came up negative. Is this normal with these medications or am i likely to not be pregnant? Every other ivf cycle i have done and did a sneaky home test showed up a false postive. Thanks

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
I have read your query & understood your concern.
- Home pregnancy test is done reliably after 8 days delay in periods ( 3 weeks of conception ). It won't be +ve in one week of IVF.
- False +ve pregnancy test is because of polluted urine sample
- I would suggest you to avoid anxiety.. for that may affect the success of process. Be positive. follow doctor's advise strictly.
Thanks.
