Are Nausea And Pain In The Upper Back Muscle Normal While Having Sciatica?

I am being treated for sciatica, however the pain across the upper back muscle area comes on quick and can create pain in the front area as well. Along with waves of nausea. Is this normal with that diagnosis. I am taking a steroid, muscle relaxer and pain med as needed. This is round two with steroids.

i think your having undesirable anti inflammatory steroid side effects. Steroids are the most potent anti-inflammatory available, but they can cause serious side effects. Visit your doctor and ask him for new drugs available that can be better or less intrusive with the side effects for your body.
