Hi there,

Thanks for your query.

There is no definite cure for common cold, it being a viral condition. Hence, only symptomatic treatment is prescribed to give relief from cold symptoms :
(a) An Anti-histaminic, such as, Ceterizine, Levoceterizine (twice daily) or Fexofenadine for relief of running nose, stuffiness and to reduce formation of secretions
(b) Paracetamol (four times a day) to curb feverish sensation and body ache
(c) A nasal decongestant spray(four times a day) for stuffy nose and cold induced sinus problem
(d) Antibiotic is NOT ROUTINELY PRESCRIBED unless there is evidence of a secondary bacterial infection (yellowish nasal discharge, fever).

You have not been prescribed any anti-histaminic. Also, Mecofol- which is Vitamin B12- has no role in common cold. Moxclav (twice a day) is OK in view of yellowish nasal discharge, while Zerodol (twice a day) contains Paracetamol and an anti-inflammatory drug, which is OK.

If you find my response helpful and informative, do not forget an “excellent” (5-star rating) to my answer, to ENCOURAGE ALL doctors- engaged in social service- to render sound advice to the FREE queries.

Take care
