Are Migraine, Pounding Chest And Nausea Normal After Steroidal Epidural?

I got a steroidal epidural in L5 12hrs ago and for the last few hours have had a migraine and pounding chest with neaseua. I ve never had any allergic reactions, don t smoke, don t drink, have a resting heart rate of 50 run average of 20 miles a week. Other than a herniated disc, I am perfectly healthy. Is this a common side effect of the steroid shot or is it posible that it has affected other than mt sciatic?

Hello

Thanks for the query

Yes it is normal to have nausea and pounding of the chest after steroid epidural. Here are my suggestions

1. Be in bed rest till you are better
2. Drink plenty of water
3. Do not engage in strenuous activities till you are better
4. If the pounding persists even after 2 days meet your GP for an ECG

I hope I was of help

Regards
