Are Medications Advisable For Elevated Liver Enzymes?

Hii dr My sgpt levels are 113 and sgot levels are 55. Should i go for medication or lifestyle change ll make it better . I am 31 years old 5 11 height and 90 kg weight.Also i want to know that these values are very dangerous or i can reverse these valies easily. Thanks Sandeepak Rana

Hi thanks for asking question.

This elevated liver enzyme could be due to...
-Fatty liver
-Hepatitis
-HbSag carrier
-Cirrhosis etc. liver condition..

First rule out above liver condition by Ultrasound of abdomen with serum viral markers.If fatty liver present, no worry it can be resolved by life style change.If cirrhosis present that it cant revert.

If HBSag positive present for more then 6 month duration then it will remain for life long.

Acute Viral hepatitis can be reverted.

If liver condition present follow below instruction for good liver health...
-Fruits more
-Avoid trans fat like cheese, butter, meat etc.
-Avoid refined food and sugar
-Regular exercise
-Green leafy veg useful
-Use omega 3 fatty acid oil for cooking like oilive or sunflower oil

Papaiya seed with lemon juice taken daily.

Cumin seed with water is good herbal remedy.


If liver problem not present then enzymes elevation could be by heart conditions or muscle trauma or myositis like condition.So it is rule out if cause not clear..
