Are Lower Back Pain Related With Uterine Fibroids?

I have been diagnised with uterine fibroids, treated in 2007 by UAE. I have since been told that I have a fibroid on the lateral wall of my uterus. I am experiencing localised pain in my lower back ( have never had back problems). Is there an association with this pain and the diagnosis?

Many thanks
Sue

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
Yes. The pain and cranps in the uterus due to the fibroids and a change in the posture if it is a large fibroid can cause a pain in the lower back.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
