Are Light Bleeding With Clots Due To Pregnancy Or Periods?

I had unprotected sex and took the morning after pill and now I am waiting for my period. This morning I got thin brownish discharge, light fresh bleeding with clots and later brown bleeding with clots. I do not want to be pregnant. Is this my period or something else?

If you have taken the emergency contraceptive pill within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse the possibility of pregnancy is less.

With decreasing time gap between the unprotected intercourse and the emergency contraceptive pill intake the success rate will increase.

After taking the emergency contraceptive pill you can expect the withdrawal bleeding in few days.

According to your description it appears as withdrawal bleeding due to the pill only. If you want to be sure, please go for a urine or blood test for pregnancy 3 weeks after the unprotected intercourse.

If serum beta HCG levels in blood test are less than 5 mIU/ml it excludes the possibility of pregnancy.
