Are Left Hand Numbness And Pain Between The Fingers And Knuckle A Concern?

I am having some weird sensations in my left hand. My hand went numb this morning and I couldn t keep a grip on anything. It has then since went to tingling in my ring and pinky fingers and a sharp stabbing pain between them at the knuckle. I need to know if this is something I should be extremely concerned about or is it something that i just need to monitor?

Hi,

Numbness with severe pain indicates pressure/pinching of supplying nerve... which can be anywhere in the cervical spine (spondylosis), neck (cervical rib) or palm level (carpal tunnel syndrome).

Give rest to the part. Take anti-inflammatory pain medicine like Ibuprofen & B12 pills over the counter twice a day. Consult an orthopedic surgeon earliest for confirmation of diagnosis (imaging investigation) followed by needful treatment.
