Are Itchy Red Rashes Normal Post Treatment For Shingles?

my husband had shingles. he was treated with in three days. He took the medication on time - for 7 days. he had been done with meds for at least 10 days. The rash continues to bother him, itch, and is red. We continue to treat it with the calamine spray also Lidocaine patch 5%. is this normal? should me make a follow up apt? Or give it some more time?

I really appreciate your concern, viral infection is questionable, it may be some allergic rash now he has already taken medicines for 10 days so better to try some anti-histamine and best would be "Tab Hydroxyzine 10 mg" three times in day actually this is nothing to worry condition may be self limiting too, hope this information helps
