Are Insulin And Glimulin 2 Correct Medicines For Elevated Sugar Levels?

My doctor has prescribed insumin+ and glimulin2 when I went to visit him. My sugar count was 135 fasting and 180 after fasting. Are these the right tablets he prescribed. I was on tripride 2 for quite sometime. I can be reached at YYYY@YYYY . I am 54 years old.

Diabetologist 's  Response
Hi, i had gone through your query and understood your concerns.

Glimulin 2 is antidiabetic drug with generic glimipiride, Insumin plus contains methyl cobalamin, folic acid and benfothiamine which is of highly useful in diabetic patients.
But the thing is, your previous tripride 2 is more better drug to glimulin 2. usaually we do this when the sugar levels go too much low or in very goo control to lower the dosage. But here in your case, The sugar levels are only fair controlled. Please discuss regarding change of tripride to glimulin with your concerned doctor. Insulimin plus is good to add on.
Hope this guides you. Thank you
