Are Hucog Injections For 2 Weeks Followed By Ultrasound Normal During Pregnancy?

hi, i had my last menses 0n 20th november 2011. yesterday ie on 9th january 2012, i had an u/s which says that i m 5weeks 3 days pregnant. yolk sac was seen but no foetal pole or heartbeat was observed. my doctor asked me to have HUCOG injection every week for next 2 weeks and repeat the u/s on 23rd january 2012. can anyone please tell me is everything normal or there is some problem?????

hi,in most of the cases by 5.3 weeks fetal pole is seen but in many cases it comes late.so its nothing to worry.doctor has prescibed you hucog which is hcg injections which will provide additional hormonal support to the pregnancy.in all likelihood all should be normal.at 7 weeks you should be able to see fetal pole,if not present then it will raise the suspicion of blighted ovum and may require termination.but at the moment all sounds good.all the best take care.
