Are Headache And Pain In The Neck, Arms And Legs Progression Of RA?

I have had RA for about 40 years as well as degenerative disk disease. In the past few months I ve started getting headaches, severe neck pain and random pains in my arms and legs. I m wondering if this is just progression of the RA as I get older. I m 73 years old.

yes, is the fast answer.
I cannot say WHY, however, in your particular case because there are so very many possibilities as to what is exactly going on.
There can be degenerative disk disease in the neck and a pinched nerve(s) there that is causing pain.
There can be osteoporosis in the bones in the neck and they could even have collapsed with serious risk of quadraplegia and death (demonstrable/ruled out by a simple neck x ray).
There can be plain irritation of the area from the RA (polymyalgia) involving the muscles and not the bones/nerves.

It can be very serious.
