Are Having Mouth Sores And Severe Fatigue Symptoms Of Collagenous Colitis?
Good afternoon: I have some sort of autoimmune disease and don t know what kind of doctor I need to see (what specialty). I m losing my hearing, I develop mouth lesions, have severe fatigue and depression and a distended abdomen. The only thing I ve been actually diagnosed with is Collagenous Colitis. Are all of my symptoms due to the colitis? Thank you, Mike
Collagenous Colitis is a gastrointestinal condition and is treated by Gastrointestinal specialists (sub-specialty of Internal Medicine) Your symptoms of mouth lesions, severe fatigue a distended abdomen are symptoms associated with Collagenous Colitis.
Your depression, which is a mental health condition, may be a result of your medical condition - if it stated after the condition of colitis-, but if it started before your diagnosis of collagenous colitis, then it would not be due to colitis. Your loss of hearing is not likely to be due to colitis. Wishing you best of health.
