Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
The symptoms you are mentioning are related to lower respiratory tract infection (LRTI) and it might have involved lungs to be bronchitis. It can get aggravated by smoking cigarettes and hence you need to quit doing it.
Kindly take the following medications:
1. Syrup containing Ambroxyl, Chlorpheniramine maleate and Guaphenisin 5 ml 3 times a day for 3 to 5 days or until cough subsides.
2. Tablet. Levofloxacin 500mg once a day for 5 days.
3. Tablet. Paracetamol 650mg twice a day until fever subsides.
4. Tablet. Levocetrizine 10mg once a day for 3 days.
5. Kindly do salt water gargling with warm water twice a day till symptoms subsides.
You must get better in about a week time, but would take longer duration if you continue to smoke cigarettes.
Hope the information provided would be useful.
All the best.
