Are Fatigue And Muscle Weakness The Symptoms Of Polymyalgia?
I was diagnosed with polymyalgia and prescribed prednisone which I took for a year. I suspect the polymyalgia has returned since I have fatigue and muscle weakness after any sort of activity. I still have some prednisone tablets and wonder if I should take 5mg per day or 10 mg until I can get back to doctor. The polymyalgia was never picked up in blood tests.

I really appreciate your concern, it is not advisable to continue taking the steroid it may cause many side effects if taken for long time, polymyalgia is not the disease or pathological process in pure form, differential diagnosis or alternative medicine needs to be thought again hope this information helps.
