Hello and welcome to HCM,
Menstrual cycle is sometimes preceded by cramping pain in lower abdomen.
This is called pre-menstrual syndrome and it can last for couple of days.
However, a clinical assessment and detailed menstrual history is required to know the cause of cramping pain.
If the pain is not associated with menstrual cycle, then probably there is some other cause of pain.
In that case abdominal and pelvic
ultrasound will be required to actually know the cause of the symptoms.
Thus, consultation with your gynecologist is required in first place.
If the symptoms are due to pre-menstrual syndrome, anti-spasmodic along with other drugs as per requirement will have to be prescribed.
Pregnancy is characterized by a positive urine pregnancy test and
morning sickness which does not begin earlier than 4-6 weeks of pregnancy.
Thanks and take care
