Are Dizziness And Fatigue Symptoms Of Congestive Heart Failure?
I am concerned that my husband has Congestive Heart Failure. He has a persistent cough, especially when lying down. He came home early from running errands today because he said he felt dizzy and fatigued. He is diabetic, on insulin (but not overweight). He has a pain in the area of his kidneys. He does NOT have swelling of feet and ankles, and NO significant shortness of breath.

Your concern is very right that a cough especially with lying down may be a sign of heart failure, however, this is not always the case. Especially when there is no significant dyspnea and no pedal edema heart failure would be less likely but still, it's very difficult to say with this limited data whether he has or not.
He needs to be questioned in details and then examined as heart failure is not that simple to decide about. And there are other serious causes for these symptoms. Consults his doctor and discuss all these issues. He would be in a very better position to help you. So here what I say the chance of him having heart failure is not very much but cannot be ruled out so he better talk to his consultant.
