Are Difficulty In Pronouncing Words And Failing Memory Symptoms Of Late Onset Ms?

Falling with no warning, twice. left leg pain whle lying in bed & leg twitching. Experiencing problems pronouncing words & memory (short-term) seems to be failing. Father died of ALS at 76y/o. I m 61 y/o female had that was physically active last year. Could I have late onset MS?

I read your question and I understand your concern.

Regarding the MS query I don't think that is the case. Apart from MS being very very unlikely at that age, your symptoms are not typical initial manifestations of MS either.

I think you do need a neurological evaluation though for other neurodegenerative disorders. You seem to have balance issues with impairment of two higher cognitive functions like speech and memory, which can be a manifestation of several neurodegenerative disorders.
So neurological exam and probably brain imaging with MRI are recommended. According to the findings other tests for the cause might be required.
