How does codeine interact with Lithium (sustained release) My daughter has BPAD type 1 and a history of opiate addiction (codeine) she has binged on codeine last week in a relapse. ABOUT 130 X 15MG OVER 5 DAYS. I am Having trouble knowing whether diarrhea and stomach cramps is codeine withdrawal or Litium toxicity. Has a request for levels Which can be done tomorrow

Diarrhea and vomiting can occur due to lithium toxicity. You can take oflox-oz or norflox-tz after an expert opinion along with cyclopam or meftal-spaz for stomach pain. take omez-d or pantop-d empty stomach for gastric upset. Manage the dose of lithium after consulting with your physician.
