Are Delirium And Hallucinations Typical Symptoms Of Alzheimer’s Disease?

Okay, so I think my Mother may have Alzheimer s though I am not sure. She is 92yrs old and at times she will ask me where my sisters are and even remember them doing things I did, the only problem is that I don t have sisters. It gradually builds up over the course of a few weeks, then something will happen and she is normal for a couple of months, then out of the blue one day she will start asking me about where my sisters are again. Now let me give you an example, one day I was in the kitchen and walked into my room for something and she followed me, when we got to my room she must have thought I was one of these sisters she thinks I have because she asked where I was and when I told her it was me, she went back into the kitchen to look for me. Now she does have a neurologist but getting her to go is like pulling teeth she just whines about the money and refuses to go, Here is where I get confused, I have never heard of Alzheimer s taking a break for months at a time, and while it does get extremely bad, her thinking I have these sisters is all she ever gets confused about, shouldn t there be other things she gets confused about, Is that typical for Alzheimers?
