Are Cold Sensation In Body And Strange Sensation In Chest Signs Of PTSD?

Okay, so, I actually went through something slightly traumatizing and it may just be guilt but now I have these weird sensations in my chest and stomach, like a cold, icy hand has a grip on my heart, or the area right between it and my stomach. It also occasionally feels like my blood turns cold at the most random times. I hope you don't mind me asking this.
Overall I'm a healthy teenager, so there's no worrying there.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have strange sensations in chest and stomach after a slight traumatic treatment. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like whiplash , spinal injury , nerve injury , acid reflux , collapsed lungs or injured organ or ribs . I would suggest you to consult general surgeon for proper examination . Doctor may order ultrasound , liver function test , chest x-ray or CT scan of spine.Doctor may also refer you to orthopedic surgeon. For now taake light food , take proper rest and apply warm compresses on chest and abdomen .

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Get Well Soon.

Best Wishes,
