Are calcium deposits on ribs normal ?

I have calcium deposits at my costal cartlidge of my ribs. Is that normal for an otherwise healthy 40 yr old female? I had been diagnosed with chostochondritis and they saw the calcium on x ray. The radiologist made no note of it and my MD was unsure.

first of all u mention ur problem whether pain is thr or any swelling in costochondral junction. if u hv sum tenderness over thr, then might be its costochondritis. its not a big problem , totally curable, go n consult an orthopedician.
costochondritis is also cured by ultrasound therapy that is a part of electrotherapeutic modalities in physiothgerapy.

i felt a lump on or near my very last ribs on my right side. I believe those are floating ribs. The lump has only occurred within the last 2 weeks. The doctor said it was either a sprain or a calcium deposit. What do those mean? Can they get worse?

My 7 day old grand daughter has had a small cerebellum. She had it throughout pregnancy. She went in for an ultra sound, and an it shows I believe 2 calcium deposits at the tip of her cerebellum. Unfortunately I have read some possible reactions to calcium deposits, but is there any way at all that this baby can be normal. The doctor said something about looking at her cerebellum is like looking across a lake at the horizon. What does that mean. We have been sick with worry. When my daughter was pregnant, little Avery had every blood tests and a million ultra sounds. They were all normal. She also had an MRI. Normal. These were obviously done in utero. Would the deposits have shown up then? I realize this is something you probably have to see to have an answer, but is there a great chance that she will develop the horrendous symptoms I just read? Thank you.

i have been told i have Costochondritis, and now i have been having pain and numbness in both my legs, especially while crossed, and cellulitis as well. I'm taking antibiotics for the cellulitis, but the pain and general weakness and heavy feeling in legs remains. Could the pain in my chest be more than costochondritis and could it be related to the leg pain??
