Are Burning Pain And Swollen Lymph Nodes In Breast Signs Of Breast Cancer?
Good morning. I've had two mammograms and two ultrasounds of my left breast, under my armpit near the wall of my chest starting last October because the test are revealing something, but it can't be clearly seen. Now I've been scheduled for an MRI in about two weeks of the same breast. I've recently had a sort of burning pain sensation in this area, tho not severe. What might they (the doctors) be looking for or suspect? My Grandmother had breast cancer back in the 1950's and had to have a mastectomy because lymph nodes were involved. What are your thoughts? I'd really appreciate an honest opinion. I'm tough...I can take it.
Thank you for your question and concern I suppose the doctors have not yet told you that you have cancer. Now , there so many xsyse if swelling of the lymph nodes or breast lumps which are not cancerous. It is only after Biopsy , fine neddle aspirate or mammogram when we can know or suspect of cancer So wait for the tests before any conclusions The fact that your grand mum had cancer is not a grantee that you will have cancer but high risk to have cancer more than the rest of the population. consult a pathologist for definitive diagnosis.
