Are Body Aches And Muscle Cramps Normal Before The Menstrual Cycle?

I am 45 yrs old and was wondering if its normal for my linning to stay thick even before that time of the month?Also my body ach and hurts all over some days before my cycle and also cramp and hurt all over doing that time of the month.Is that normal?
