General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

A rare possibility, navel displacement can cause hernia which when not yet seen externally, can press on spinal nerve roots supplying hip and thighs to give you the symptoms. More possible cause is spondylosis at lumbosachlar spine pressing on the nerves OR sciatica with pressure on sciatic nerve to cause your symptoms. Consultation with a general surgeon / orthopedic surgeon would give specific cause after physical examination supported by MRI of the part. Treatment would be cause specific.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
