Are Vitamins Advised In Case Of Shortness Of Breath And Chest Pain?

I'm a 21 year old male, 6', 210, fair build. I wouldn't consider myself very over weight, although I could afford to lose a little. Over the last 2 weeks, I have been having chest pain / pressure constantly. It's not debilitating, I have no shortness of breath, but it is very uncomfortable. I have been going throughout my days just trying to ignore it, and now I'm getting worried. I went to test my blood pressure, at a pharmacy (not doctor) and it said my BP was 140/90, which is hypertensive. Resting pulse rate of ~80 bpm. I have been taking vitamins, but still feel no relief. What should I do / What does this sound like?

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Yes, your blood pressure is slightly high.
So we should definitely rule out cardiac cause for your chest symptoms.
So get done ecg, 2d echo and stress test (trade mill test).
If all these are normal then no need to worry for heart diseases.
Sometimes undiagnosed stress and anxiety can also cause similar chest symptoms especially in the young individuals (21 years) like you.
So consult psychiatrist and get done counselling sessions. Try to identify stressor in your life and start working on its solution.
You may need anxiolytic drugs too.
Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
