Are Ursodox And Multivitamin Tablets Advisable For Jaundice?

Hello sir, I am suffering from jaundice.when I test my full liver function,I get total bilirubin 1.9 .Doctor advice me ursodox 300 tablet twice a day also for 20 days and also one multivitamin capsule for 20 day.is it sufficient for jaundice treatment ?

Multivitamins are used in jaundice. There is no need to use Ursodox in jaundice caused by viral hepatitis. Ursodox is used in jaundice caused by primary biliary cirrhosis.
Advise
1.     Take proper rest. Do not involve in strenuous activity for few months.
2.     Continue multivitamins as suggested
3.     Tablet Liv – 52 thrice daily per oral for 1 month
4.     Make sure that you drink clean, uncontaminated water
5.     Take vegetables and fruit juice.
6.     Avoid alcohol and medicines known to cause liver damage such as paracetamol
7.     Divide your meals into smaller portions and eat them frequently during the day
8.     Avoid oily & spicy food
9.     Investigations – Serum bilirubin, SGPT/SGOT, Hb%, HBV/HCV screening
