Are Motrin And Amoxicillin The Right Medication For Fever In A Child?

my 4 year old son has had a fever since sunday . he has been taking motrin and amoxicillian since Monday. what should I do now? last Thursday night he was in the er and they said he had cruup and prescribed steroids. He is still coughing runny nose and fever.

dear sir thanks for posting your query to hcm .these drug can be given as a emperical treatment. As in child mostly fever with cough may be caused by viral or bacterial infection .so these medication are good . but for cough and unning nose it will require some antihistaminics and decongestant drug also . .
