Acne are caused due to a combination of 4 factors: 1. Increased production of sebum from sebaceous glands in the skin 2. Increase proliferation of cells & blockage of these glands 3. Inflammation. 4. Bacterial infection.
Isotretinoin reduces the proliferation of cells in the sebaceous gland & decreases the production of sebum. Mupirocin provides antibiotic cover against bacterial infection.
So, the medicines prescribed by your treating Doctor are correct. Kindly continue them as advised.
Also avoid oily foods, drink lots of water & clean your face with an oil free cleanser three times a day for reduction of pimples.
Wishing you a good health. Take care.
