Are Esomeprazole Magnesium And Omeprazole Similar Medicines?

I am currently on Esomeprazole Magnesium 40 mg (generic for Nexium). My new RX plan to begin in December when I turn 65 covers it but would cover Omeprazole 40 mg (generic for Prilosec ) Are these meds similar ?? Also I am currently on Librax which is not covered by any RX plan. Is there a similar med ?

Both esomeprazole and omeprazole have same roles but former has better action than later one.
Do not stop or find alternatives to librax without proper consultation.
