Are Clopidogrel And Aspirin Advisable For A Heart Patient?

age 75, 9 years after bypass, 8.75 years after stents. Regular exercise 1.5 hrs. 3 times a week on machines and treadmill. All otherwise healthy. Taking Clopedagrel and full asprin. Should I keep taking both? No side effects except that if I cut myself it takes longer to stop bleeding and heal.

Hello.
Yes you need to take both the medications for lifelong as it will need to keep the blood thin and prevent any formation of thrombus again and thus prevent further attacks. So yes you need to continue taking these meds. You can maximum stop the clopidogrel but consult your doctor before stopping any of these medications.
Hope it helps.
Thank you
